Inline Math

Wrap math in single dollar signs: $x^2 + y^2 = z^2$

Display Math (Centered)

Use double dollar signs:

$$\frac{a}{b} = \frac{c}{d}$$

Fractions

\frac{numerator}{denominator}

Example: $\frac{1}{2}$

Exponents & Subscripts

Exponent: x^2 or x^{10}

Subscript: x_1 or x_{10}

Square Roots

\sqrt{x} or \sqrt[3]{x}

Greek Letters

\alpha, \beta, \gamma, \theta, \pi

Common Symbols

Summation: \sum_{i=1}^{n}

Integral: \int_0^1 f(x) dx

Less/Greater: \leq, \geq

Infinity: \infty

Parentheses (Auto-sizing)

\left( \frac{a}{b} \right)
